Topic: Best fit trendline?

I see that there are a number of trendlines to choose from. Is there an option to ask Graph to try them all (or selected ones) and apply the one with the best fit?

It would also be helpful if the type of trendline (exponential, power, etc.) were displayed in the Edit Function dialog.

It would be even more helpful if I could opt to have the type of trendline displayed in the function list instead of or in addition to the actual function equation. You already do this for the moving average.

Unfortunately Graph cannot try all trendlines yet. I have it on my to do list, but I don't know when I will find the time to implement it.

I also plan to make it possible to edit trendlines.

You can actually already edit the text shown in the function list in the edit function dialog.
