Topic: Abnormal program termination

I entered a formula and then inserted the tangent of it, but I got an error saying "Abormal program termination" and Graph was terminated indeed without any saving. After some trial-and-error, I found out that I get this error every time when inserting a tangent with From set to a number >=10. I would be grateful if you could look at it and perhaps provide a solution.

The formula I used:
((x-10)/7.5)^2+1.1

I inserted the tangent at x=10, also beginning from 10.

I used the same configuration with the beta version and everything is fine. It did not terminate like you wrote. Check the file please.

Thanks for your reply. It did work with your file, though. However, you didn't set the tangent to be at x=10 and stating from 10. However, after setting that, it still didn't terminate. When I then zoomed to standard zoom, it did terminate with an error. When I created a new file, zoomed out a lot and then did the same as I explained in my first post, it worked fine as well.
Could you perhaps try to reproduce this on your computer?

The file I sent was exactly with the same conditions. I tried to zoom out and zoom in and it still works fine. Here is the screenshot. Might that be that your version is diffferent or your computers processor is a bit slow?

Thanks for your reply. I had forgotten to mention that I always set a curve to a width of 2. So, the following makes Graph terminate:

Enter the formula
Insert tangent at x=10, starting from 10, with a width of 2
Zoom to standard (Zoom menu)

I've added the Graph file I'm having problems with. I only haven't set the tangent to begin from 10, because then Graph terminates so I can't save that.

I'd be extremely grateful if you could try to reproduce this.

Sorry, everything is working proparly, even if you make the width 5 or zoom to standard ot to the points or whatever. It is working...

I can reproduce the problem from your description and I have now fixed it in the beta version of Graph 4.4. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
