Topic: "Evaluate" gives imaginary result for odd roots.
When I graph f(x) = x^(1/3) and evaluate values along the curve, f(x) shows up as an imaginary number for negative values of x and the trace lines disappear from the graph. Is there any way to correct this? For example, if x = -8, it shows f(x) = 1+1.7321i, whereas the answer should be -2.

In the Edit|Options dialog change Complex form to Real. This will ensure that you always get a real value if one exists in the Evaluate dialog.
