Topic: One-dimensional number line

I'd like to create some graphs that just show the X-axis as a number line (for showing inequalities in one variable).  Is there any way to only show the X axis - make the Y axis disappear?  Thanks in advance for your help.

The easiest way to do this is to move the y-axis out of the current view. In the Edit axes dialog under the y-axis tab, you can for example set The x-axis cross at  y= to 1000.
