Topic: pasting graphs into notebook files or into word documents

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the gridlines darker to make the gridlines more visible when pasted into other documents such as word documents (for exams, assignments, ...) or notebook files for visual lessons.  I have the gridlines set on black, but they don't always show up vividly, or only half the gridlines from a graph are show up when the graphs I make are pasted into other documents.  Thanks - Bill

Re: pasting graphs into notebook files or into word documents

A suggestion is to make the Graph window smaller before you copy it to another program. The image is copied as shown on the screen and if the target program scales the image down, some details may disappear.

Even better is to make sure that the image is pasted as metafile (emf). Graph copies the image in several formats and metafile gives the best quality. But it depends on what the target program supports and some programs may pick another format as default though they actually support metafile.
